Connection permissions
Who can access and approve your website feedback?
Choose the access your connected tool needs. Clients leave feedback, you decide what work to request, and completed changes come back for your approval.
DesignLoop offers connections for one review or for the reviews you own. Check which access you are granting when you connect a tool. Both let you keep final approval of client requests.
Choose access for one review or your account
| Connection | What it can access | Where to remove access |
|---|---|---|
| One review | Feedback in the selected review, including private owner notes and implementation activity | Connections inside that review |
| Your account | Reviews you own, their feedback and private implementation activity; it can also create website and PDF reviews | Connections on your dashboard |
A project connection created inside a review applies to that review. Account connections are useful when you want to create a review from a conversation or find an existing review you own.
An older connection may still be limited to one review. If you need account access, reconnect and check the access described on the consent screen. The connection guide covers the available options.
What clients and owners can see
Anyone with a shared review link can view the review and its feedback. Reviewers identify themselves as guests before commenting. Share the link with the people you intend to involve.
Implementation updates, owner notes, and submitted proof stay private to the owner and authorized connections. They are separate from the feedback and statuses clients see on the review.
Who decides what gets changed?
A client comment describes a requested result. The project owner decides which requests should be implemented and tells the coding tool what work to do. Asking for a feedback summary alone does not ask for edits.
The connected tool can return progress and submit completed work with screenshots. In DesignLoop, only the owner can approve that work and mark the client request implemented.
Publishing a website change is a separate decision in your website workflow. A DesignLoop connection does not itself grant access to your website’s publishing account.
Check a submission before approving it
Compare the result with the original comment and any replacement wording. Open the updated page to check interactions and mobile layout. If the request is only partly addressed, ask for another pass on the same item.
Use the website change checklist before choosing Approve and mark implemented.
Remove access when it is no longer needed
Give each connection a recognizable name so you can find it later. Revoke it from the review or dashboard Connections page when a tool or collaborator no longer needs that access.
Connection access and shared review links serve different purposes. Revoking a coding connection does not make a review link private. Keep that distinction in mind when sharing client work.
